- What does SoberStack Filter actually hide?
- Every image and video on every website starts blurred and is checked by an AI model. On social media and search, post text, comments and results are checked too. Anything that matches the triggers you picked stays hidden. Everything else appears, usually in under a second.
- Which browsers does it work in?
- Chrome and Firefox on desktop, and most browsers built on them, like Edge, Brave and Zen. It doesn't work inside phone apps like Instagram or TikTok.
- Will it hide normal things by mistake?
- It's tuned to hide what you picked and leave ordinary content alone. A cooking video stays visible with Alcohol switched on. A beach volleyball video stays visible with Sexual content switched on. If it's too strict or too loose for you, there's a strictness setting.
- Does it slow down browsing?
- Pages load as normal. New images and posts stay blurred for about half a second while they're checked, then appear.
- What happens to the pages I visit?
- Images and text are sent to an AI model to be checked. We don't keep them, your browsing history or a record of what was hidden. We keep only a daily count so we can keep the service running. Gmail, Outlook and other major webmail, Google Docs and Drive are never checked, and you can add any other site to skip.
- How much does SoberStack Filter cost?
- Pricing is announced at launch. It's one monthly subscription, and if you're new you get a 7-day free trial first.
- How do I cancel?
- Open the extension's settings and choose Manage subscription, then cancel. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
- Can I get a refund?
- Payments are handled by Stripe, which can refund within 60 days of a purchase in some cases. We don't give partial refunds for unused time, but if something has gone wrong, email [email protected] and we'll help.
- What happens when my free trial ends?
- If you've added a card, your subscription starts and nothing changes. If you haven't, you'll be asked to subscribe. Until you do, images stay hidden and a message at the top of the page explains why.
- Is it a lock I can't turn off?
- No. It's there to cut down how much triggering content reaches you, not to police you. You choose what it hides and where it runs.
