Terms of Service

One account works across the SoberStack app and SoberStack Filter. Keep your password safe, and tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens in your account.

• SoberStack Filter is a paid subscription, billed monthly.
• If you've never subscribed before, you get a 7-day free trial. You won't be charged until it ends, and you can cancel before then at no cost.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. The price is shown at checkout and may appear in your local currency.
• You can cancel at any time from the extension's settings by choosing Manage subscription. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again.
• If we change the price, we'll tell you before it applies to your subscription, so you can cancel first if you want to.

Subscriptions are sold through Stripe using Stripe Managed Payments, with Link acting as the merchant of record. That means Stripe and Link take your payment, handle sales tax, and handle refund requests and disputes. In some cases they may issue a refund within 60 days of a purchase.

Apart from that, payments are not refundable and we don't give partial refunds for unused time. If something has gone wrong, email [email protected] and we'll do our best to help. Nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Each account has a daily limit on how many items SoberStack Filter checks. It's set far above what a person browsing normally will reach, and it exists to stop automated or abusive use. If you hit it, images stay hidden until the limit resets the next day.

SoberStack Filter uses an AI model to decide what to hide. It works hard to get this right, but it won't catch everything, and sometimes it will hide something that was fine. It only works in the desktop browsers it supports, not inside phone apps, and it can be switched off. Please don't rely on it as your only protection.

SoberStack is a set of tools to support your own goals. It isn't medical advice, therapy or treatment, and it isn't a substitute for professional help. If you're struggling, please talk to a doctor or a qualified professional. If you're in danger, contact your local emergency services.

Please don't:

• use SoberStack for anything illegal;
• try to get around the fair use limit, resell access, or use the service through scripts or bots;
• try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service; or
• copy or reverse engineer the service except where the law allows.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

We provide SoberStack as it is and as available. We'll keep improving it, which means features may change. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, or for any amount beyond what you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app, the extension or by email before it takes effect. Carrying on using SoberStack after that means you accept the new terms.
